Our Philosophy
At Mountain View Equestrian, we are dedicated to providing top-notch horse riding education at affordable prices. Our mission is to foster a love for riding while ensuring the safety and well-being of both horses and riders. At Mountain View Equestrian, we believe that horses have the power to teach us far more than just how to ride—they help us grow in confidence, patience, responsibility, and connection. Our program is built on the foundation of respect: respect for the horse, for ourselves, and for each other.
We aim to create a welcoming, down-to-earth environment where riders of all ages can safely learn, explore, and fall in love with the Western lifestyle. Whether you're here for your very first ride or continuing your riding journey, every rider is met with encouragement and care.
Our lessons are all taught by a knowledgeable and passionate teenage who brings years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for horses. She serves as a relatable, enthusiastic mentor and helps create a fun and encouraging learning environment.
We believe learning to ride should be fun, hands-on, and heart-driven. That’s why our lessons and events go beyond the saddle—we teach grooming, groundwork, horsemanship, and the day-to-day realities of life with horses.

Riding Lessons
We offer a variety of different types of riding lessons to fit your personal needs. If you are not sure what type is best for you or your child, please feel free to send us an email. Be sure to bring a helmet, long pants, close-toed shoes, and a smile to your lesson. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within 24 hours of the lesson, we will still charge you the lesson price as we have rearranged our schedules for you!
Private Horse Riding Lesson
$50
Private lessons are 50 dollars and one hour long! They focus on individual growth for the rider! These lessons begin with saddling and grooming the horse and then riding. The lesson will finish with unsaddling and putting away the horse. Our private lessons are focused on teaching riders to be confident, strong, independent, and adventurous riders and people. We know that horseback riding is not only a hobby but a way to grow the whole person.
Youth Riding Lesson
$30
We offer shorter thirty minute horse riding lessons for younger students who may not be able to sit for as long to enjoy the lesson. These lessons are suggested for riders under 5 years old. However, some students this age prefer to do full hour horseback riding lessons. These lessons begin with grooming and saddling the horse and then riding. Unsaddling and putting the horse away concludes the lesson. Beginning to ride at a young age sets children up for endless success in the future.
Semi-Private Riding Lesson
$30 each ($60 total)
These lessons involve two children riding at the same time. This is perfect if you have multiple children or if you have a child who would like to learn to ride with their friend. These lessons, like our private lessons, focus on growth in riding and allowing the children to become comfortable and happy in the saddle. These lessons are 30 dollars for each student or 60 dollars total!
Private or Semi-Private Lesson on Client’s Horse
Normal price ($50 or $60) plus travel
We offer private or semi-private lessons on your own horse, right at your facility. This allows riders to learn in a familiar environment while focusing on their individual goals and their horse’s specific needs. The only additional cost is travel—everything else comes to you.
Group Lesson on Client Horses
$30 per child plus travel
We offer group lessons on client-owned horses for groups of 3–10 riders, making them a great option for friends, barn groups, or riders looking to learn in a social setting. Lessons are tailored to the skill level of the group while still providing individual feedback, helping riders build confidence, improve technique, and grow alongside others on their own horses in a familiar environment.

We offer horse birthday parties and events by request. These can be fun ways for children to get to spend time with horses outside of horseback riding lessons. Please see the birthday party page for more details!
Horse Camp
Price Varies
Mountain View Equestrian offers camps for children to get to spend more time riding and spending time with horses while learning more about horse care. Please visit the summer camp page for more information!
Horse Clinic

We occasionally offer horse clinics to the community based on interest. These will focus on horse care and knowledge. Please contact us if you are interested so we can schedule a clinic. We need at least five interested clients to host a clinic!
